Bernardo García Núñez - Director of the Service

Bernardo García NúñezDegree in Medicine from the University of Salamanca (USAL). Specialist in Pediatric Surgery via MIR (Hospital Sant Joan de Déu). Bernardo Núñez is the current Director of the Pediatric Surgery Service of the Parc Taulí Health Corporation, and Associate Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Parc Taulí Teaching Unit). It also tutor residents and Pediatric Surgery miembro of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Surgery, the Spanish Association of Pediatrics, the Catalan Society of Pediatrics and the Academy of Medical Sciences and Health of Catalonia and Baleares. Collaborator of the Spanish Group of Pediatric Oncological Surgery (GRECOP). His professional areas of interest in pediatric surgery are minimally invasive surgery, both digestive and thoracic, and surgical correction of chest wall malformations (Pectus Excavatum and Carinatum), both by Nuss technique and by Taulinoplasty (Pectus Up). He is a member of the Chest Wall International Group (CWIG).

He has completed various training stays abroad, including Chelsea and Wensminster Hospital (London, UK), Children's Hospital Hospital Foundation (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Necker des Enfants Malades Hospital, Paris (France). Author of several national and international publications, she is also a member of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Surgery (SECIPE), the European Association of Pediatric Surgeons (EUPSA) and Collaborator of the Spanish Group of Pediatric Oncological Surgery (GRECOP). Begoña Sánchez has been an assistant in the Pediatric Surgery Service of the Corporació Sanitària Parc Taulí since 2009, with special dedication since joining the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Urology. He also works closely with the Hospital's Maxillofacial Service. She is also the author of several national and international publications.

Session Santiago MartínezDegree in Medicine from the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU). Specialist in Pediatric Surgery via MIR (Vall d'Hebron University Hospital). Saioa Santiago is an assistant in the Pediatric Surgery Service of the Corporació Sanitària Parc Taulí. His professional areas of interest are minimally invasive surgery with special dedication to the digestive system and pediatric colorectal surgery, specifically anorectal malformations and Enf. of Hirschsprung. An active participant in national and international conferences on Pediatric Digestive and Colorectal Surgery, she also conducted a training stay abroad at the Children's Hospital of Pittusburgh of UPMC in Pennsylvania with the world expert Prof. de la Torre for 3 months in 2016. Author of various publications, she is also a member of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Surgery (SECIPE) and the Spanish Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery (SECLA). Winner of the First Prize of the XV SECLA congress in April 2017 with her communication: "Magnet assisted surgery: initial experience with 5 cases".
