The Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Service of Sabadell Hospital carries out a significant volume of healthcare activity: more than 4.700 surgical interventions, 62.000 specialist visits and 29.000 emergencies each year.

It consists of 8 functional units: Hip, Knee, Foot and Ankle, Shoulder and Elbow, Hand and Microsurgery, Spines, Children's Orthopedics and Emergency Area.

The Service acts as a local reference for the population of the area and also as a reference center for reimplantation of limbs and catastrophic hand, polytraumatic patients and high complexity prosthetic surgery, while maintaining an intense undergraduate teaching activity ( Faculty of Medicine of the UAB) and postgraduate (specialists in training via MIR) and research (currently has 6 active research projects, 1 innovation project and 4 doctoral theses in preparation).

The TOC Service regularly organizes training courses and seminars in microsurgery, hip, knee and foot surgery and clinical management.
