The research area of ​​Epidemiology, Care Improvement and Chronicity is made up of a multidisplicinar group of professionals of the Corporation (Hospital de Sabadell, Albada Social and Health Center, Primary Care and Sabadell Elderly).

It presents different lines of work, such as care for the chronic or fragile patient, improvement of care processes, improvement of quality of life, satisfaction, adherence to treatment, cost-effectiveness studies, effectiveness studies, study of prevalent diseases and of health problems considered a priority.

The aim of the Area is to promote and generate epidemiological information that improves the health of the population from different scientific approaches. Improve healthcare outcomes and care processes. Develop and innovate practices and organizational models that can improve care processes. All this in order to be able to respond to the reference population with quality health and social care.

Health professionals who are part of the line have published in national and international journals, are involved as lead researchers or collaborating researchers in different research projects. They are actively working with other institutional bodies such as the Manresa healthcare network, Mútua de Terrassa, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, ​​among others. Different groups participate in the Network Biomedical Research Centers (CIBER). CIBER of Public Health and CIBER of Respiratory Diseases and with the Network of Investigation in Services of Health in Chronic Diseases (REDISSEC).
