The stable is managed in collaboration with the Sabadell Mutual Society
Private Foundation, with highly qualified staff accredited by the Generalitat
of Catalonia for each of the categories defined by law.
The stable has a restricted access space for the housing of
small rodents (rat) and two operating rooms with all the equipment needed for the job
with animal models and for specific microsurgery tasks. This
stable was accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya as a breeding center,
supplier and user of experimental animals with the registration number
B9900072, in compliance with the law 5/1995 of the 21 of June of "protection of the
animals used in experimentation and other scientific purposes "; the Decree
214/1997 of 30 July, which regulates the use of animals for
experimentation and other scientific purposes, and Directive 86/609 / EEC of 24
November 1986 on legal, regulatory and
administrative provisions of the Member States with regard to the protection of animals used
in experimentation and other scientific purposes. This accreditation was renewed on
2010.
