Research sessions
With the aim of encouraging collaboration between research groups and
disseminate the basic and translational research carried out at the CSPT and create
scientific debate, regular sessions are organized where researchers
present their research projects. These sessions are open to all
the professionals. During 2012, the following were held:
Analysis of circulating microRNAs in colon cancer; performed by the
Dra. Anna Brunet, from the oncology service.
Mass sequencing techniques applied to the detection of
mutations in the BRCA1 / BRCA2 genes in breast and ovarian cancer
relatives; presented by Dra. Anna Ruiz Nel·lo, of the Group of
Genetics of the UDIAT
eNose analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in respiratory
samples for Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP) diagnosis.
Presented / displayed by Janine Kastelijn, of the University of Amsterdam in
collaboration with the CSPT Intensive Care Unit.
Cross-talk brain and lung in acute lung injury: Introduction i
presentation of results in experimental models. Presented by Mº
Elisa Quílez, CiberES predoctoral researcher in the service of
CSPT Intensive Care Medicine.
Pre-treatment with mesenchymal stem cells reduces ventilator-
induced lung injury. Presented by Dra. Laura Chimenti,
postdoctoral researcher in the Intensive Care Unit.
New technologies, devices and robotic strategies applied to surgery
environments. Presented by Jordi Campos, researcher
predoctoral of the Taulí Robotics unit.
