Extra-analytical area

The area extra-analytical of the Clinical Laboratory Service of the Parc Taulí Hospital encompasses the following areas:

Sample extractions: nursing team responsible for the extractions of admitted patients and hospital outpatient consultations, both for adults and pediatric patients. They actively participate in the pre-analytical phase in order to ensure the quality and traceability of the samples. It also supports the procedure for extracting samples from marrow studies (biopsies and marrow aspirates) and is part of the Anticoagulant Treatment Unit.

Administrative area: management of requests and tests, analytical reports, external test referrals, billing, purchases and supplies, telephone and face-to-face support for patient and clinical consultations.

Reception samples: transversal area that supports the entire Service, reception of all samples that arrive at the laboratory, distribution to the different analytical areas, special preparation of samples and referrals for external tests.

  Adults: offices 1 to 8, floor 0 UDIAT building, Clinical Laboratories Service, office 21 VII Centenary building.

                       Hours from 7 a.m. to 14 p.m.

  Children: office 1 Building external consultations Paediatrics. Opening hours from 8 to 10.30.
