UDIAT Diagnostic Center

Laboratory of Hematology and Hemostasis

Presentation

The Hematology and Hemostasis Laboratory is divided into three main areas:

  • Core Lab: multidisciplinary area with a large assistance activity and a high degree of automation that uses the most advanced technology. Hematology is represented by hematometry, cytology and basic hemostasis.
  • Our Labs of Biological Hematology: includes the sections of cytology, flow cytometry, erythropathology and molecular biology. It integrates specialized knowledge and technology to provide all the valuable information necessary for the diagnosis and follow-up of patients with hematological diseases.
  • Hemostasis: formed by Clinical Hemostasis Unit (consultation of the anticoagulated patient and specialized consultation of patients with coagulation pathologies) and the Special Coagulation Laboratory. It encompasses the entire healthcare process of diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of patients with coagulation disorders. Very transversal area with high multidisciplinary activity with other services and units of the Corporation. Coordination of the institutional Thrombosis Committee.
