 What is UDEN? 

The Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Nutrition Unit (UDEN) is the functional unit that provides specialized endocrinological care in Sabadell and the 11 municipalities in its area of reference.

The UDEN is managed by the Hospital de Sabadell and organically integrates the professionals of the Hospital and functionally integrates the professionals of the Institut Català de la Salut (ICS) working in the specialty in Sabadell and Cerdanyola.
 

What services do we offer?

- Support and consulting for primary care and other specialties
- Specialized care in the following situations:

Diabetes: 

- Treatment for acute decompensation, on an outpatient basis or with hospital admission
- Diabetes type 1. Possibility of insulin pump treatment and continuous glucose monitoring
- Diabetes and pregnancy
- Diabetes with serious complications
- Diabetes that is difficult to control

Endocrine disorders: 

- Serious thyroid disorders
- Diagnosis and treatment of other endocrine disorders

Nutrition: 

- Morbid obesity
- Enteral and parenteral nutrition

These services are offered at the different facilities, according to the organizational planning.
