El Ethics Committee for Research with Medicines (CEIm) of Parc Taulí is one of the most active nationally evaluating studies.

It was accredited for the first time in 1994 and works under the procedures standardized by the regulations for clinical trials with medicines and health products (RD 1090/2015 of December 4).

It also has the accreditation of The Office For Human Research Protections of the United States Department of Health and Human Services.

  • Supervision and control of research with medicines and health products, biomedical and biological samples.
  • Ethically and methodologically evaluate clinical trials with medicines and health products, observational studies with medicines and human samples or data.
  • 4th position at state level (2nd in Catalonia) for project evaluation activity. See news 
  • Reference CEIm for 63 clinical trials with drugs: 6 phase I, 24 phase II, 32 phase III and 1 phase IV.

Recommendations for improvement

El Scientific Advisory Committee (CAC) is a consultative and advisory body for the research and innovation activity of Parc Taulí. They include people of recognized national and international prestige in the areas of knowledge that are considered essential for research and innovation in biomedicine that are developed in the Parc Taulí.

Its members represent various sectors of society, both public and private, in different fields such as research management, intellectual property, science and business.

Highlights

  • Issue opinion and evaluation on the projects that are developed in the Parc Taulí.
  • Identify business opportunities for projects.
  • Identify external business opportunities to propose projects internally.
  • Identify potential partners with whom to establish strategic alliances for the financing, development or marketing of a project and its results.
  • Bring value and legitimacy to the work carried out in R + D + I in the Parc Taulí, in order to increase its efficiency and productivity.
  • New operating regulations of the Scientific Advisory Committee to improve parity.

The stamp Human Resources Strategy for Researchers certifies that the Institute complies with the principles of the European Commission for the recruitment of research staff, and that it ensures the professional development, job stability and fair remuneration of its staff.

  • Monitoring and evaluation of the actions included in the Action Plan.
  • Ensure transparent and open personnel selection processes.
  • Facilitate communication with the staff of the Institute in order to improve the actions associated with the Plan.
  • Ensure the national and international visibility of the institute as a research institution with equal opportunities, ethical integrity and work balance.
  • Review of the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Research Staff in order to improve the human resources policies of the I3PT and to make the whole Parc Taulí community aware of the advantages of the HRS4R seal.

Established on May 31, 2017 to comply with the aspects contained in Law 3/2007 (effective equality of women and men) and Law 17/2015 (Catalan equality).

The Equality Commission is equal and is made up of three members of the social representation, three members representing the company and an equality officer. All members have training in equality.
