Salvador Ventura, new director of the Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT)

Dr. Salvador Ventura Zamora has been appointed director of the Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT)-CERCA by the institution's Taulí of Trustees. Ventura will assume the direction of I3PT from September 1, 2024

The I3PT will continue to coordinate the ITEMS platform until 2026

The Institute has been chosen again as the body in charge of coordinating the ITEMAS Platform during the period 2024-2026, according to the Final Resolution of the call for ISCIII Platforms to support R&D&i in Biomedicine and Health Sciences, published by the Carlos III Health Institute in December 2023

The Ethics and Drug Research Committee of Parc Taulí leads the evaluation of clinical trials in Catalonia

With 68 clinical trials evaluated in 2024, it consolidates itself as the first in Catalonia and the third in Spain according to the ranking prepared annually by the AEMPS

The LIFE GENESYS project will develop a pioneering purification system to remove antibiotics and resistant bacteria from hospital effluents

Parc Taulí is leading a clinical trial to evaluate the clinical and economic benefits of 3D digital surgery

The main objective is to demonstrate that this technology not only generates benefits for the patient, but also reduces time and saves resources at the medical center, so that it can become a standardized practice in the public health system.

Clinical trial begins for AI software to detect lung cancer in unanalyzed X-rays

This tool, named Optimal XR, aims to prevent potentially malignant lung nodules from continuing to go unnoticed by diagnosing them in a timely manner

The search for an innovative therapy to improve the cognitive and emotional state of critically ill patients begins

The research team from I3PT and UIB will evaluate the efficacy and safety of a technological tool that uses non-immersive virtual reality to prevent cognitive and psychological sequelae in patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
