14th edition of the course-workshop on Non-Invasive Mechanical Ventilation (NIVM) for Emergency Medicine

The general objectives of this course are to provide the basic skills to recognize and manage the different situations of acute respiratory failure that can benefit from treatment with NIVM.

Specific objectives:

-Understand the concepts and fundamentals of how VMNI works.
-Identify the Indications and contraindications of NIV.
-Know the management of the different types of NIV.
-Apply the necessary skills in the assembly of VMNI circuits, as well as the selection of the most appropriate interface.
-Identify and treat patient-ventilator asynchronies when they occur, as well as their management.

  • Aimed at Specialists and doctors in training, interested in acquiring and/or achieving theoretical and practical knowledge of VMNI.
