Immersion in hot water during labor and delivery is an option that can provide multiple benefits, such as decreased pain perception, greater sense of well-being and increased maternal satisfaction.
In fact, the Catalan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Catalan Association of Midwives have developed the Guide to Water Immersion during Labor and Delivery in Catalonia.
Thus, with the 1st Water Birth Care Day of the Parc Taulí Healthcare Corporation Consortium (CCSPT), we want to make known the main contents of the guide and share experiences and knowledge that contribute to the safe and quality implementation of this healthcare practice.
