Course '4 topics in osteoporosis'

The Rheumatology Service of Parc Taulí organizes the next Tuesday, September 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m. (Auditorium), the 6th edition of the conference “4 topics in osteoporosis”. 

This training activity, under the direction ofEnrique Casado, head of the Service's Bone Metabolism Unit, is aimed at medical personnel with an interest in the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and fragility fractures (specialties of rheumatology, internal medicine, endocrinology, geriatrics, family medicine), nursing and physiotherapy personnel.

This edition will feature the following sessions:

• Main doubts when we want to evaluate the risk of fracture or interpret complementary tests. Daniel Martinez-Laguna
• Main doubts regarding the treatmentCristina Carbonell
• Osteoporosis in special situations: glucocorticoids and chronic kidney disease. Laia Gifre

The activity will be accredited by the Catalan Council for Continuing Education of the Health Professions – Comisión de Formación Continuada del Sistema Nacional de Salud. Residents of any specialty can attend and register, but they cannot receive credits.
