
the cplacement of peripherally inserted central venous catheters and bladder exploration for bladder balloon detection are procedures that are part of the daily clinical practice of nurses. To carry them out successfully, specific training and competence based on scientific evidence are required.
However, this course will present the fundamental principles ultrasound and different types of catheters, among others.
The course is structured into a theoretical block and a practical one, being a participatory and interactive course.
- Theoretical block: It is carried out with the support of multimedia applications (images, animations, demonstration videos, etc.) and with the presentation of clinical cases.
- Practical block: It is carried out in small groups. Classrooms equipped with specific material for practicing the technique of puncturing the basilic and/or cephalic vein in the ultrasound-guided procedure, as well as for ultrasound exploration of the bladder.
The teaching material will be provided days before the start of face-to-face classes.
They are carried out two editions of the course: the first, on December 4, and the second, on December 11.
