II World Day of Rare Diseases: building a comprehensive and participative model

This conference aims to raise awareness of the common and differential characteristics of rare diseases with a genetic basis.

• Understand the importance of Clinical Genetics and genetic counseling in minority diseases
• Identify the different practical tools on Genomic Medicine in minority diseases
• Give visibility to collaborative work with patient associations in order to improve their early access to specialized medical services
• Identifying unsolved biohealth needs through interventions of affected patients
• Identify the main challenges and obstacles in the training of primary care professionals in rare diseases
• Raise awareness among different social actors about the consequences of living without a diagnosis
• Recognize the importance of emotional support for the patient and their family/caregivers.
