Conference Depression and suicide prevention: I choose life

La depression it is a brain disease that is already the leading cause of disability in the world, affecting more than 6% of the European population (7,2% women and 3,2 men). We have very effective treatments, but a large part of the people affected they do not access health care or interrupt it due to ignorance and stigma.

THEprimary care is essential to improve the detection and the results of the interventions applying a stepped and integrated model, and for the most complex cases (risk of suicide or resistant -30%), with synergy with mental health.

During the day, practical aspects of the detection and the treatment of the different forms of depression and the risk of suicide in our environment, as well as aspects of innovative research.
