Nearly 600 people filled the Municipal Theater La Faràndula in Sabadell yesterday in a party to spread the scientific activity of the city and to raise funds for a project of Mental Health Parc Taulí, with a show enlivened by the excellent performances of the Melt Quartet and the Wind and Wood Quintet of the Vallès Symphony Orchestra
The first edition of the Night of Science and Knowledge, promoted by the Fundació Parc Taulí, The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona la Bosch i Cardellach Foundation i theAjuntament de Sabadell with the collaboration of several entities from Sabadell, it was very well received.
The presenter of the event, the biologist and reporter of TV3 and Canal 33, Pere Renom, thanked the four organizing entities and stressed that this gala aims to give visibility and promote the interest of young people in mental health .
The musical show was given by the Quartet Mèlt, known for its participation in the television program Oh Happy Day !, and the Quintet de Vent i Fusta of the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès. Both performances excited the audience.

The Executive Director of Mental Health, Diego J. Projects awarded at the 1st Night of Science and Knowledge in Sabadell
In addition to the musical show and the presentation of the project on Mental Health, the Night of Science and Knowledge also delivered three scholarships from the Parc Taulí to help research for medical students of the UAB. The director of Research and Innovation at Parc Taulí, Lluís Blanch, highlighted the city's research character and presented the three grants to the awarded students. Similarly, Dr. Pilar Dellunde awarded the three scholarships to the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Banco Santander for research projects awarded to Esteve Corbera. from the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology, Carlos García from the Institute of Neurosciences and Víctor J. Yuste, from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
Finally, the secretary of the Olga Torres Foundation, Jordi Carbonell, announced that the organization will create an Award for the Dissemination of Colon Cancer especially for Science Night and that the first prize will be awarded to the edition of the next year.
