The hospitalized children, their families and the professionals of Parc Taulí have lived a week full of activities and solidarity visits to wish Happy Holidays and a Happy 2016 to everyone.
During this Christmas week, the children admitted to the pediatric ward of Taulí Hospital have received unexpected visits and the occasional more planned one, as is traditional for these dates.
After the previous week the players of the Sabadell Sports Center make the annual visit to the children and their families, bringing them the usual gifts related to the harlequin team, and the representatives of The Caixa the delivery of toys, this week we received a visit from Endesa workers, of the singer Verónica Romero, theRoyal Ambassador of the group fruit salad with the Puppets. Craft workshops have also been held in collaboration with Baricenter. The theater groups of CEIP Amadeu Vives and the children's concert of CEIP Samuntada they have delighted everyone at the Taulí Auditorium.
On Monday 28, the little ones received a visit from one of the finalists of the first edition of the television program Operación Triunfo, Verónica Romero, known as 'Vero'. The young singer, who resides in Los Angeles (USA), took advantage of her stay in the country to visit our pediatric area. Vero greeted some of the children in their respective rooms and then performed a carol singing in the pediatric plant’s toy library, and handed out gifts to children and professionals. The singer wanted to congratulate the parties to all the professionals and promised to visit us again. This solidarity initiative, organized by the health assistant, Pedro Palomo, was an emotional experience for the artist.
On Tuesday 29, as is tradition, the Royal Ambassador left for a while the Royal Camp installed in the Grau house in Plaça del Gas to visit all the children admitted to the Sabadell hospital. An appointment expected annually by the children who spend these holidays hospitalized, thanks to the collaboration of Sabadell Comerç Center and the Gas Museum.
Yesterday Wednesday, Maria, Sara, Irene, Carlota and Paula, members of the Macedonia group, visited the children accompanied by the Pallapupes. Macedonia and the Pallapupes sang several songs a cappella and gave away a copy of their latest work The world is for the brave to all of them. After the visit, they did a small concert in the lobby of the Taulí.
From Parc Taulí we thank all the people and organizations who have shown their solidarity with the little ones in our hospital.
