The Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute receives the 'Floc de Llana 2015' award from the Manufacturers Guild of Sabadell

The award ceremony, given in the framework of the feast of San Sebastian, patron saint of the entity, was held yesterday at the venue of the Guild, with the presence of members, guests and authorities. The award was picked up by the director of Research and Innovation at Parc Taulí, Lluís Blanch.

The event was attended by the president of the Fundació Parc Taulí (FPT), Francesc Gòdia, the president of the Corporació Sanitària Parc Taulí, Modesto Custodio, the general director, Joan Martí, the director of Management of the FPT, Glòria Palomar , and the president of the scientific committee of the Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT), Joan Seoane. The event was inaugurated by the president of the Manufacturers' Guild, Blai Costa, and closed by the mayor of Sabadell, Juli Fernàndez.

The 'Floc de Llana 2015' award consists of two categories: Award for Business Merit in the textile sector, which was awarded to the company Marina Tèxtil, SL, for its remarkable business career and product innovation, and the Merit Award for Work Developed in the Social, Economic or Cultural Area awarded at the I3PT.

In his speech, the president of the Manufacturers' Guild, Blai Costa, emphasized the entity's concern for the role of industry in the city, and that "it is time for socio-economic associations, but also for others areas, take the lead that we have not had for a while ”. For his part, the Mayor of Sabadell, Juli Fernàndez, emphasized the importance of "building a new reality, a city project that we must all do together". Fernandez stressed that "Sabadell has dojo strengths, and we must know how to use them."
