Under the motto "Promoting the dignity and worth of people" will be held tomorrow, March 15, the world day for the promotion of the dignity and values of peoples.
This date commemorates the commitment, contribution and work of social work professionals as first-hand connoisseurs of social reality, leaders of change and social intervention and promoters of the struggle and guarantee of the social rights of citizens. More than ever, on this day, social work professionals must be given the recognition they deserve for their daily work.
At the Parc Taulí Health Corporation, the Social Work Unit is made up of 21 professionals who have a presence in all the services offered by the institution. Its object of work is the person, and the approach is carried out from an integral perspective, through interdisciplinary work, which guarantees continuity of care and bearing in mind the opinions, values and beliefs of the people subject to it. attention.
UTS professionals want to share with other professionals and colleagues this very special date for us. Let us remember that we are witnessing a new demand profile, an increase in the diversity of the population served, with greater complexity of social difficulties. There is a growing difficulty in finding solutions, with new models of care that lead us to a system not focused exclusively on "curing" but also on "prevention and care" with full integration of health and social services and, always, as we have said, focusing on the person.
