The aim of the initiative is to raise awareness of the importance of good respiratory health habits, as well as the correct diagnosis and control of asthma in children, through school workshops, recreational and educational days and a web platform with information and downloadable materials. .

Dra. Valdesoiro is a pediatrician specializing in pulmonology at Parc Taulí, and holds the secretariat of the Spanish Society of Clinical Immunology, Allergology and Pediatric Asthma (SEICAPi) and is the asthma group coordinator of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Pneumology (SENP), two of the scientific entities that endorse this initiative promoted by the Roger Torné Foundation and the Lovexair Foundation. The campaign was presented at a press conference last May at Barcelona City Council, where Dra. Valdesoiro explained all the details of this initiative endorsed by scientific and educational societies and with the support of public institutions such as Barcelona City Council, the Department of Health of the Generalitat and the Patient Advisory Council of Catalonia, among others. .

At the press conference, Dra. Valdesoiro stressed that "these initiatives will improve the knowledge of asthma by teachers, parents and children, and its dissemination to achieve control of the disease, first through a correct diagnosis."

The first day aimed at families took place at CEM Olímpics de la Vall d'Hebron on May 7, with workshops and recreational and educational activities to strengthen knowledge about asthma. Tomorrow, Saturday, June 4, a new day will take place in Seville to present the project.
