The day, organized by the Hospital de Sabadell, the Institut Marquès, the Health Consortium of Terrassa and FecunMed, will be held on November 3 in the Auditorium of the Parc Taulí. The purpose of the meeting between specialists is to unify criteria and learn about innovations in the diagnosis and treatment of fertility.
Parc Taulí will host tomorrow, Friday, November 3, the IV Conference on Fertility and Reproduction of the Catalan Countries with the participation of more than 150 professionals in the fields of Gynecology, Andrology and Genetics. The aim of the conference is to establish a dialogue between professionals and learn about the latest developments in the diagnosis and treatment of fertility.
Assisted reproduction techniques are currently in high demand. It is estimated that approximately 20% of couples have fertility problems, a fact that has increased the demand for services. Of this percentage, 40% will have to do assisted reproduction techniques.
The director of the day, Dr. Laura Costa, of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Service of Parc Taulí, emphasizes that “Among the causes of this increase are the delay in the search for offspring by couples, but also the greater social sensitivity respects the new models of motherhood that allow many single women and / or same-sex couples to access in motherhood ”. Likewise, "The expectations created by new techniques and drugs encourage couples to apply for reproductive health services", points out Dra. Costa.
Approximately 525 first visits are made to Parc Taulí each year for infertility problems, and about 250 artificial conjugal inseminations are performed each year. Patients who have to undergo in vitro fertilization are referred to accredited hospitals in Barcelona.
Tomorrow's day is structured in four topics of debate: current state of reproductive dysfunction, the role of genetics and the laboratory in assisted reproduction, ovarian stimulation and an andrology table.

I am 39 years old and in September I will be 40. The gynecologists of Sant Felix take me, but they tell me that they have to call me from the table for an invitation. Please see if you can help me. It's been more than a year and I'm not pregnant. I have endometriosis and I'm having a hard time.
