The director of the Medical Oncology Service of Parc Taulí, Eugeni Saigí, will give the lecture 'Cancer: discovery, knowledge, research', this Tuesday, February 4, at 6 pm, at the Casal Pere Quart in Sabadell, coinciding with on World Cancer Day.
This is one of the activities organized jointly by Parc Taulí and Sabadell City Council, which as usual have worked together to organize different activities to commemorate World Cancer Day.
On Tuesday 4, in the morning, from 11 am to 14 pm, in the Racó del Campanar, there will be a unique information table made up of the main local entities working in the field of oncology: the Mama Ovari Hereditari Association; the Spanish Association Against Cancer-Catalonia Against Cancer; The Lighthouse Association for People with Cancer; Oncolliga-Fundació Lliga Catalana d'Ajuda Oncològica i l'Associació Oncovida.
The aim of these actions is to raise awareness of the disease, destigmatize it by talking about it openly and facilitate access to a wide range of possibilities offered by public health resources, but also oncological entities and associations that, in today, they contribute to increasing the quality of life of those affected.
