Parc Taulí took part today in the pilot test of the '5First Responders' project, which aimed to show how 5G technology can improve emergency healthcare. The pilot was held in front of the Sabadell Municipal Police Station, where a minor pretended to have an epileptic seizure.
Faced with his mother's call for help, the minor was initially attended to by a municipal police officer, who initiated the care protocol by connecting to the pediatric emergency rooms at Parc Taulí using a device equipped with a camera. which allows real-time image sharing. Thus, the agent was able to receive instructions from Dr. Luis Renter, the pediatrician who from the ICU of the hospital has been able to give directions to the police to perform first aid and stabilize the patient.
The event was attended by the Minister of Digital Policies and Public Administration, Jordi Puigneró, the Mayor of Sabadell, Marta Farrés, the director of 5G of Mobile World Capital Barcelona, Eduard Martín, the territorial director of institutional relations of Orange, Montse Cereza, the general director of Cisco Spain, Andreu Vilamitjana, and the director of Organization and Information Systems of the Parc Taulí, Anna Benavent. The director general, Joan Martí, and the director of the Pediatric Medicine Service, Pepi Rivera, also attended the Parc Taulí.
