Today, May 5, is World Hand Hygiene Day and from Parc Taulí we join the dissemination campaign as every year with a video promoted by the professionals of Infection Control and Patient Safety and addressed to all professionals who actively work to promote hand hygiene.
This May 5 coincides with the International Year of Nursing and Midwifery declared by the WHO for 2020 but given the pandemic we are living the Ministry of Health extends the campaign to all health professionals.
El Department of Health, adding to the WHO, today celebrates the recognition of the important work carried out by all health and non-health professionals in the care provided to patients by COVID-19 and in the prevention of coronavirus transmission and makes the following calls:
- Nursing professionals: "Clean, safe care begins with you."
- Midwifery professionals: "Your hands are crucial for mothers and their babies."
- Leaders: “It increases the staff of nursing professionals to prevent infections and improve the quality of care. It creates the means to empower nursing and midwifery professionals. ”
- Patient advocacy associations: "It empowers nursing and midwifery professionals by providing them with clean care."
- Patients and their families: "Safer care for you, with you."
From Parc Taulí we join, once again, the World Hand Hygiene Day with a video that exemplifies how to avoid cross-transmission between patients.
