The head of Infectious Diseases, Manel Cervantes, picked up the award on behalf of the institution's staff at an event held yesterday at the Modernista Exhibition of the Fundació Antiga Caixa Sabadell 1859.
Cervantes was accompanied by the president of Parc Taulí, Mariona Creus, the general director, Joan Martí, the care director, Rocío Cebrián, and the nursing director, Mireia Subirana.
The award has been granted to Parc Taulí “for its activity in containing the COVID-19 pandemic and especially to the Infectious Diseases Service of the said center and in the person of Dr. Manel Cervantes on behalf of all the staff of this institution ".
At the time of receiving the award, Cervantes stressed that “this gratitude cannot be personal. I am here on behalf of a team. First of all the Infectious Diseases Service and then all the other professionals: nurses, cleaning women, nursing assistants, maintenance, pharmacy professionals… All these people make it possible for the hospital to work every day ”.
For her part, the Councilor for Health of Sabadell City Council, Sònia Sada, stated that "it has been a difficult year, but the Taulí staff have made it very easy for us".
