The Sabadell solidarity race for boys and girls returns on May 29, 2022, after a mandatory break for COVID-19, and will do so for the benefit of chronic complex patients and pediatric palliative care in Parc Taulí. This was announced today at the presentation press conference with the participation of the Mayor of Sabadell, Marta Farrés, the President of Parc Taulí, Mariona Creus, the General Manager, Joan Martí, the coordinator of the Pediatric Complex and Palliative Chronic Patient Unit, José Vicente Serna, and the race organizer, Toni Valverde.
As in previous editions, the day of the call will be a great children's and family party with many activities that will take place in the different spaces of the Parc Taulí, where the start and finish of the race will take place, which can be done running, walking or in a wheelchair. Online registration is now open at www.sabadellcorrepelsnens.cat.
The previous four editions of this race have always broken the record for registrations, and now amount to more than 120.000 euros, which have been allocated to different solidarity projects, always linked to children.
As explained by Dr. According to today's presentation, the benefits of this great celebration of solidarity in Sabadell will go to improving the quality of life of pediatric patients suffering from a serious chronic disease, and those receiving palliative care, by the team of professionals of the Unit specialized in complex patients and pediatric palliative care at Parc Taulí. This is one of the three Catalan hospitals that, since 2020, are recognized and make up the Integral Pediatric Palliative Care Network of Catalonia, in the process of being deployed by the Catalan Health Service (CatSalut).
