Sabadell Run for Boys and Girls and the Parc Taulí Health Corporation have today presented in a press conference the results of the V Solidarity Race 'Sabadell Run for Boys and Girls' and the great children's party held last May 29.

Today's results presentation was attended by the general manager of Parc Taulí, Joan Martí, the race organizer, Toni Valverde and the nurse of the Complex Chronic Patient and Pediatric Palliative Care Unit, Gemma Gómez.

Dr. Joan Martí has thanked Toni Valverde for his initiative, as well as the team of the Unit "for the extraordinary work he does". He also wanted to emphasize that "this year it is planned to carry out improvements in the humanization of the Paediatrics spaces, possible thanks to the collection obtained in one of the previous editions".

For his part, Toni Valverde focused his words also on thanking "to all the people who participated, to organizations and businesses, to Parc Taulí, and to the colleagues of the organization for making it possible once again". And he also took the opportunity to appeal to the city:I encourage more solidarity initiatives to be launched to be able to help the Hospital or entities that need it".

Nurse Gemma Gómez, together with the unit's pediatrician, Lucía Hernández, highlighted the visibility that the Race and the party have given these children and families: "the maxim of our team is to fill the days of our children with quality, which was fulfilled on the day of the race".

As you will remember, the profits from this great celebration of solidarity in Sabadell will go towards improving the quality of life of pediatric patients suffering from a serious chronic illness, and those receiving palliative care, cared for by the team of professionals from the Unit specializing in complex and palliative pediatric patients at Parc Taulí. Specifically, it is planned that they will be used to provide support in areas such as occupational therapy and speech therapy.

Parc Taulí is one of the three Catalan hospitals that, since 2020, have been recognized and make up the Integral Pediatric Palliative Care Network of Catalonia, in the process of being rolled out by the Catalan Health Service (CatSalut).

The collection of the four editions of the 'Sabadell Corre pels Nens i Nenes' race, dedicated to projects linked to the children of Parc Taulí, has exceeded €120.000.
