As part of the events scheduled for September 10, World Suicide Prevention Day, the Minister of Health, Josep Maria Argimon, accompanied by the PLAPRESC coordinator and director of Mental Health at Parc Taulí, Diego Palao, and the president and founder of Després del Suïcidi – Association of Survivors, Cecília Borràs, has presented an immersive experience to publicize the telephone number '061, a voice against suicide'.

The installation, located on the promenade of Badalona, invites you to discover stories related to suicidal ideation through the testimonies of survivors, family members, support organizations and health professionals who are experts in mental health and, specifically, in the care of suicidal behavior. Phrases drawn on the ground guide pedestrians towards a cube-shaped structure consisting of 62 telephones representing the 62 suicide attempts that occur in Catalonia each week. This action aims to make suicide visible and to de-stigmatise it, to put it first, without euphemisms, and directly on the streets throughout Catalonia. The installation will go through specific points of Catalan geography that will be announced soon.

Councilor Argimon has emphasized that one of the Department's wishes is to "make known the reality of suicide and all that it entails". In this regard, he emphasized the importance of working with specialized professionals and associations of survivors and relatives, "since it is a common challenge that we must face together". Dr. Palao has celebrated that "one of PLAPRESC's actions is already a reality, 061, a suicide prevention hotline with professionals specialized in mental health". For her part, Cecília Borràs has made a call, from the unity of the Catalan organizations of survivors, to "build hope through actions".
