Dolors Costa Sampere has today received the confidence of the Governing Council of Parc Taulí as the institution's new president, after she was appointed by the Minister of Health of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Manel Balcells, to this position last December 5.
The Parc Taulí had a vacancy in the presidency of its Governing Council since last July, when Mariona Creus, who had held the position since 2020, unexpectedly left.
Dolors Costa trained as a nurse at the Escola Epione in Sabadell, and as a midwife at the Hospital Clínic in Barcelona. She was also professionally linked to Parc Taulí for six years as a nurse and midwife. Subsequently, she completed master's training in management and leadership of nursing services and has been an associate professor at the School of Nursing and the Teaching Unit for Midwives of Catalonia at the University of Barcelona. He presided over the Catalan Association of Midwives between 1991 and 2002.
In the professional field, she has developed several managerial roles as head of Maternal-Child Care and Sexual and Reproductive Health Care at the Catalan Institute of Health and as deputy director of the General Directorate of Planning and Evaluation of the Department of Health. Representing several scientific societies and NGOs, he has extensive teaching and research activities and has participated in more than 30 publications.
