The Minister of Health, Manel Balcells, presented this morning the set of investments in the Parc Taulí Hospital for the period 2022-2023, which add up to a total of 76,9 million euros. Six new operating theaters in December

To make the expansion and improvement project of the Parc Taulí Hospital a reality, this year 2023 an investment of 47,3 million euros is planned, of which 45 million are financed by the Catalan Health Service and 2,3 by Sabadell City Council.

Among the 2023 investments, the expansion and reform of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the first floor of the Frontal Gran Via building and the construction of 6 new operating theaters on the second floor of the same building stand out. With these works, which will finish at the end of 2023, the hospital will go from having 8 operating rooms to having 14. In addition, this month of March a new operating room for ambulatory surgery was opened.

Actions are also planned in the Taulí building in 2023: a new endoscopy room that will come into operation in November and a new observation area in the Emergency Department, with 30 new beds, available at the end of the year. Likewise, the new pediatric outpatient clinics will open in the month of May in the Santa Fe building.

In 2022, the Ripoll building and the CAP Can Llong

In 2022, the investment in the Parc Taulí hospital was 29,6 million euros, financed by the Catalan Health Service. The most important action was the new Ripoll building, inaugurated in May by the president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès i Garcia. This new hospital module was designed by the Government during the Covid-19 pandemic and has made it possible to have more capacity and spaces. It has 96 beds distributed over 3 floors: 32 semi-critical beds on the first floor; 32 surgical hospitalization beds in the second and 32 pediatric hospitalization beds in the third.

In December 2022, the Consorci Corporació Sanitària Parc Taulí also inaugurated the Can Llong Primary Care Center (CAP), which responds to the increase in the population of the Basic Health Area Sabadell 4B (Can Rull) and guarantees a greater proximity in attention.
