The aim of the Smoke Free Week is to make the population aware of the importance for health of not starting, abandoning tobacco consumption and being able to enjoy an environment free of smoke and tobacco waste. The Smoke Free Week is one of the tools we use every year to fulfill our commitment to promote healthy behaviors, both for children and teenagers, and for adults.
From the primary care area, priority is given to the implementation of group and community activities focused on health promotion, establishing synergies with other entities, as well as members of the community and territory. In collaboration with the Department of Health of the Sabadell City Council, the EAP of Sabadell 4B participates on May 30 and 31 in a health education workshop for children in the 5th and 6th grades of the Can Rull School on harmful consequences of tobacco use. The activity took place in the premises of the Ponent Library in Sabadell.
In this context, in the coming months, a smoking cessation group will also be promoted for the people of Sabadell 4B, led by the nursing team and in collaboration with the Emotional Well-being and Community Health Officer.
