Parc Taulí has resumed the face-to-face workshops of the "Posa't Guapa, Et Sentiràs Better" program of the Stanpa Foundation, aimed at cancer patients. The director of the medical oncology service, Miguel Ángel Seguí, welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of these workshops "to help improve patients' self-esteem and recover their image", modified by secondary effects of oncological treatments.
The second workshop was held this morning in the La Capella room of Parc Taulí, where two beauty professionals explained to the 12 patients of the Hospital de Dia and oncology consultations what steps they must follow to take care and make up your skin during the oncological process.
These workshops are run by the Stanpa Foundation, which coordinates a network of more than 125 professional beauty volunteers, and has the collaboration of doctors, oncologists, nurses, psychologists and AECC coordinators ( Catalonia Against Cancer).
In the workshops, products donated by more than 30 companies that manufacture cosmetics, patrons and collaborators of the Foundation are used, which make up a kit of cosmetics for cleaning, treatment and make-up, delivered free of charge to each participant, in a solidarity initiative 360 º
How to sign up for the workshops?
All patients who wish to attend one of the workshops must contact the nurses at the Day Hospital in Parc Taulí, who will indicate the dates and the place where they should go.
