The Parc Taulí Pharmacy Service is made up of 57 professionals, of which 19 are pharmacists who work in the field of care and research.
These professionals are responsible for ensuring the acquisition, custody and dispensing of the drug. Either in the hospital's outpatient pharmacy where they dispense medicines for chronic patients and different pathologies such as hepatitis, Multiple Sclerosis or HIV; or to patients admitted to the hospital.
For this reason, Farmàcia del Taulí works integrated into the care teams, each clinical service has a pharmacist or pharmacist of reference, to improve the care of both hospitalized and outpatient patients. They are also part of the care committees to provide their pharmacological point of view on which medicines are the most appropriate.
Likewise, they are the ones responsible for making the master formulas and intravenous preparations for different treatments such as, for example, chemotherapy for cancer patients.
Hospital pharmacists are responsible for ensuring the best therapeutic option based on the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of drug treatments.
