The Park Taulí Knee Unit has obtained accreditation from the Spanish Knee Society (SEROD) to be a training center for knee surgery. In this way, Parc Taulí becomes the first hospital in Spain accredited to be able to train professionals and residents in the different surgical techniques related to the knee.
This distinction is a recognition of the excellence and quality of care provided by the professionals of the Orthopedic and Traumatological Surgery Service at Parc Taulí.
The section head of the Parc Taulí Knee Unit, Christian Yela, has assured that "the cataloging as a training center will allow other residents of Spain to come and train at Parc Taulí in any technique we do such as arthroscopy, prosthetic surgery or any knee intervention".
As a training center, Parc Taulí will form part of the training plan of the Spanish Knee Society 2.1.2, where two residents from different State hospitals go to a city and visit two centers to see and learn techniques from the different teams.
With this new step, Parc Taulí continues to consolidate itself as a reference care center in Catalonia and Spain.
