The Medicine students of the Parc Taulí Teaching Unit (UAB) are among those who have obtained the best results in the MIR exam since 2013.
This year, of the 52 graduates, 48 have secured a residency position and two have been among the top 100 marks. Specifically, they have reached number 38 and 86.
It should also be noted that this year, 18 students were among the first 1.000 students who will be able to choose a major.
These results are in line with last year, of the six Extraordinary Prizes for all Degrees in Medicine from the four teaching units, four were from our Teaching Unit.
During these 11 years, almost 90% of the graduates of the Parc Taulí Teaching Unit have passed the MIR exam. These good data reflect the good functioning of the teaching unit, highlighting the closeness between the staff of the unit and the students; as well as the monitoring of the teaching staff and the great participation of the Parc Taulí Health Corporation in the training of the students.
Despite being the youngest of the current four teaching units of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, which include Vall d'Hebron, Germans Trias and Pujol i Sant Pau, the students of the Parc Taulí Teaching Unit are the most pass the MIR exam.
In 2009/2010, theoretical and practical teaching began at Parc Taulí for students from the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, with a group of 22 students from the 3rd year of the Degree in Medicine.
There are currently 232 students divided into the four courses of the Degree in Medicine taught in the Teaching Unit (third, fourth, fifth and sixth) and 12 promotions have already graduated.
