Yesterday was the last farewell to the 29 residents, from 18 specialties, who began their training at Parc Taulí in September 2020. The residency of these professionals has been marked by the COVID pandemic, which resulted in their later admission to the hospital.
The president of Parc Taulí, Dolors Costa, highlighted this characteristic fact of the beginning of his residence, and wished that "you have fulfilled the expectations and goals you set for yourself at the beginning and fulfilled some of your dreams". Costa has insisted on the importance of their training as care professionals, but without forgetting "teamwork, generosity, dedication to people and empathy with the patient, because these are values that we must also have".
For her part, the head of studies and Director of Teaching, Pepi Rivera, has also highlighted her arrival at Parc Taulí "in a complex moment and with a difficult and different organizational environment". But this has made "you have experienced the second transformation of Parc Taulí". Pepi Rivera thanked the "great professionalism" with which all the residents have worked and "for their contributions to improve training".
The event ended with the words of the General Director, Anna Aran, who urged all residents to "remember the years they have lived at Parc Taulí, together with their tutors and colleagues, taking Parc Taulí to heart". And he thanked his dedication "to make the institution much greater qualitatively".
