Dr. Raquel Corripio has been appointed director of the Pediatric Service at the Parc Taulí University Hospital, taking over from Dr. Luís Renter, who has exercised this responsibility since May 2022.
Dr. Corripio joined the Pediatric Service of Parc Taulí in 2001 as a doctor specializing in endocrinology and nutrition, later becoming the coordinator of the Pediatric Endocrinology Unit. Previously, he studied Medicine at the University of Barcelona (1996) and did his residency at the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital. She is a Doctor of Medicine since 2010 and the first full professor of Paediatrics at Parc Taulí at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).
He has extensive experience in clinical trials and research focusing on growth, diabetes, puberty and Prader-Willi syndrome. In fact, she is the coordinator of the Pediatric Clinical Expertise Unit (UEC) for this syndrome. Likewise, he is a member of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Endocrinology, where he also participates in different working groups, and of the European Society.
The new director of the Pediatric Service is excited about this new stage at Parc Taulí in a Service whose "very proud to belong and eager to work to guarantee the care, teaching and research excellence associated with the third level of the Service". The goal is "continue working as Dr. Luís Renter, from whom I take over", assures Dra. Corripio
The general management would like to thank and acknowledge the work and dedication of Dr. Luís Renter during these years at the head of the Paediatrics service and the Center for the Care of Women and Children.
