VII Interhospital Conference on Genetics of Catalonia
The Parc Taulí has organized the VII Interhospital Conference on Genetics of Catalonia. The general director, Anna Aran, together with the director of the Institute of Research and Innovation of the Parc Taulí (I3PT), Salvador Ventura, and the director of the Center for Genomic Medicine, Víctor Martínez, presented the Conference to all the professionals who attended. It also featured the inaugural conference of CatSalut's Personalized and Precision Medicine manager, Gemma Valeta.
El genetic diagnosis of minority diseases and personalized medicine it is growing and the continuous interaction of professionals is very important. The Conference held this morning at Fira Sabadell was divided into four tables. The first, on genomic medicine where the director of the Pediatrics service and specialist in the management of Prader Willi Syndrome at Parc Taulí, Dra. Raquel Corripio explained the new perspectives in this minority disease and the director of the Center for Genomic Medicine explained vascular malformations, mesomatic mosaicism and precision medicine.
The second table was focused on exposing the projects of different hospitals in Catalonia. During the third, there was an interactive session of cases and the last table was led by the head of the scientific unit of the Western University of London, Bekim Sadikovic.
The day was a success and also served to share experiences among professionals.
