This morning, patients in the convalescence area of the Albada-sociosanitary center of Parc Taulí received a very special visit. A group of students from the Samuntada school organized an intergenerational activity, together with Càritas diocesana de Terrassa.
Before the start of the activity, the coordinator of the nursing team of the intermediate area, Lidia Ribera, explained what the convalescence area of Parc Taulí is, an inpatient space for the functional recovery of patients after being admitted to the acute hospital so that they can return to their usual environment in the best conditions.
Afterwards, there was a dialogue between the youngest and oldest students in the room. The students were very interested in knowing what they were like as children, what they played with, their favorite food, and what their school was like.
To end the activity, the children were given a hand-sewn heart with essence so they could put it in a drawer or closet.
The patients who participated in this activity left very happy and encouraged to be able to share their experiences with the youngest.
