
The Director of the Cardiology Service at Parc Taulí co-editor of the second edition of the book Antiarrhythmic Drugs

The head of the Cardiology service at Parc Taulí, Dr. Antoni Martínez Rubio, is one of the three editors of the second edition of the book Antiarrhythmic Drugs (“Antiarrhythmic drugs”) published by the renowned Springer publishing house, specializing in books and academic journals in the healthcare field.
In this second edition, Dr. Martínez, together with Dr. Juan Tamargo, professor emeritus of the Department of Pharmacology of the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Computense de Madrid and Dr. Gheorghe Andrei Dan, professor emeritus of the Carol Davila University of Medicine in Bucharest, Romania, have expanded the fields of research of the first publication of the book in 2020.
This new edition also includes the participation of two professionals from the Cardiology service at Parc Taulí, Dr. Soledad Ascoeta and Dr. Gal·la Caixal, in the chapter on arrhythmias in women during pregnancy, along with Dr. Elena Arbelo and Dr. Marta López from the Hospital Clínic in Barcelona. In addition, world-renowned experts from Germany, Canada, Denmark, Spain, the United States of America, the Netherlands, Italy, the United Kingdom, Romania and Turkey have contributed to the 17 chapters of the book.
The second edition of the book Antiarrhythmic Drugs updates and reviews current and future therapies for treating cardiac arrhythmias in various clinical situations. It is a comprehensive guide (over 500 pages) on the use of drugs for the treatment of various heart rhythm conditions, and focuses on providing a clinical manual for their management.
