The Jaume Viladoms center in Sabadell held the first plenary session of its Training and Business Council, with the participation of the Parc Taulí Healthcare Corporation Consortium and Sabadell Gent Gran, as representatives of the local business community.
This educational center is the first in the region to establish and present its Training and Business Council after being accredited by the Catalan Agency for Professional Training as a Comprehensive Professional Training Center.
The inaugural session was attended by Mr. José Luis Durán, executive president of the Catalan Agency for Vocational Training, who delivered the presentation "The task of Integrated Centres and the challenges of Vocational Training", where he highlighted the key role of these centres in the transformation of VET in Catalonia.
The plenary also included a round table under the title "Dual Training: the actors' vision", in which representatives of educational centers and companies shared reflections and experiences on the advantages and challenges of this training modality.
Dr. Pepi Rivera, Director of Teaching at Parc Taulí, spoke at this table to explain our center's journey in Dual Vocational Training, emphasizing the benefits that this modality brings to both students and organizations.
With the shared commitment to continue moving towards a VET model aligned with the current needs of the labor market and educational demands, this first plenary session closed with a very positive assessment by all attendees.
