Dr. August Sáenz Bernat passed away this Tuesday. Dr. Sáenz was appointed member of the Governing Council in February 2022, as a representative of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
Dr. August Sáenz Bernat was born in Terrassa in 1941 and began his medical studies at the University of Barcelona, where he specialized in Hematology and Pediatrics. In 1989, with the opening of the Terrassa Hospital, he assumed responsibilities leading the Pediatrics Service. Since 2021, he has been the president of the Terrassa Healthcare Consortium.
