On October 1st, the Parc Taulí auditorium will host the second edition of the World Day of Older Persons.
This is an initiative by professionals from Intermediate Care and Sabadell Gent Gran that urges them to raise awareness of situations in which ageist attitudes occur in order to raise awareness of the need to identify and rectify them.
This year, the day will feature a photography contest open to the entire population under the name “The weight of the gaze: ageism in images”“Each participant may submit a maximum of 3 works. until 20 in September the basis of the competition can be consulted here.
Likewise, the session will feature round tables in which professionals from the health and social fields will present initiatives to combat ageism.
