The Parc Taulí Healthcare Corporation Consortium (CCSPT) celebrated the International Day for Safety and Health at Work with the second edition of the conference held on this date. In fact, it is a session that is part of the Healthy Week, an initiative of Parc Taulí that aims to consolidate good practices and attitudes towards work.
The general director of Parc Taulí, Dr. Gemma Craywinckel, opened the day by recalling that “professionals have both sides of the coin. We do good to patients, citizens; however, these jobs that we have are very demanding. That is why it is very important to make these jobs a healthy environment”. Likewise, Sandra Tobias, director of the Corporation's People Area, participated in the inaugural event and highlighted that the International Day for Safety and Health at Work “It should be every day. The importance of prevention should be present all year round.".
Next, the conference “Preventive Measures for Psychosocial Risk” took place, led by Ismael Rodríguez, director of administration and labor relations at the CCSPT, and José Francisco Martínez-Losa from the company Audit&control Estrés. Then, Antoni Calvo, director of the Galatea Foundation, gave a presentation focused on the importance of emotional health in work environments.
During the day, Míriam Casanovas and Xavier Casas, physiotherapists of the corporation, presented several strategies for guided active breaks to guarantee postural well-being in the workplace.
The day was followed by a round table of experts in health promotion. Moderated by Dr. Gemma Navarro, representative of the Parc Taulí Saludable working group and member of the board of directors of the Network of Health Promoting Hospitals (XHPS), specialists Mireia Vicente, president of the XHPS, Dr. Marta Linares, neuropsychologist at the Hospital d'Olot, and Jesús Escribano, reference nurse at the XHPS and the Hospital del Mar, presented different strategies for promoting health in the workplace to promote the well-being and sustainability of professional teams.
Finally, Mati Ortiz, water polo player from the Sabadell Swimming Club and the Spanish National Team, gave a motivational conference in which she presented tools to deal with the demands of the workplace.
Today's event is part of the 2nd edition of the Healthy Week at Par Taulí, which is held from 24 to 30 April. During this week, in-person activities are offered for the entire team of professionals from the Consorci Corporació Sanitària Parc Taulí, focused on the care and health of the person. Specifically, the activities focus on the areas of nutrition, physical exercise, safety and health at work, emotional well-being and awareness of the natural environment.
This year, more than 550 people, last year there were 400, have registered for the activities proposed by the Parc Taulí Saludable group and the Prevention Service of the People Area of the institution.
