The Parc Taulí Auditorium hosted the traditional Nurses' Day, this year under the motto "Care in evolution: talent, innovation and team". The president of the Parc Taulí Healthcare Corporation Consortium (CCSPT), Dolors Costa, and the director of the Nursing team, Noemí Obregón, held the institutional inauguration.
Dolors Costa has recognized the work of the nursing team "committed and constantly evolving to provide the highest quality care". And he assured that work must continue "to strengthen nursing in areas such as innovation and research".
For her part, Noemí Obregón reviewed the work carried out by the more than 2.500 professionals who make up the nursing team and emphasized that they are the group that "we accompany from birth to the end of life”. Obregón also highlighted the new professional profiles that have appeared in this field, such as in complex diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, advanced care management and health education or in the monitoring of pathological processes and chronicity.
Continuing in the line of strengthening the role of the research nurse, the conference was given by Guadalupe Fontán, from the Nursing Research Institute of the General Nursing Council.
After this keynote session, the Conference continued with the experience of nursing professionals specialized in different fields.
Before the session ended, the first Award for Excellence and Professional Career was announced. Susana Loureda was recognized by her colleagues for her dedication, commitment and contribution in the field of pediatrics.
The Director of Care, Dr. Carme Sanclemente, accompanied by the Deputy Director of the Nursing Team, Carme Quiñoa, closed the day. Dr. Sanclemente highlighted that this “day is a reflection of the professional wealth and specialization of the nursing team; a key fact for the hospital's gear“. Carme Quiñoa added that “The day highlights the nurses' commitment to guaranteeing the quality of care in the care they provide.".
The conference was a success and saw widespread participation from the Parc Taulí nursing team.
