This condition of mixed group allows to develop projects of translational research in the “Unit of Translational Neuroscience” recently constituted between the Hospital Parc Taulí and the Autonomous University of Barcelona. The group's research can validate the results of basic research, identify biomarkers that can improve the detection, diagnosis and treatment of various mental disorders, from the paradigm of the stress-vulnerability model. The group has been integrated in the line of "Affective disorders: diagnosis, epidemiology and treatment." The group also aims to promote joint pre- and postdoctoral teaching activities of the staff assigned to each of the institutions, contributing to the training of researchers of excellence.
