Accompanying programs
Introduction
Through the BRING_IT Program, the centers that are part of the Associated Units in the Taulí according to PT23 ISCIII (I3PT, Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa, Mutua Terrassa, Badalona Care Services, Hermanas Hospitalarias, Fundació Sanitària Mollet, Iris CC, Consorci Sanitari de l'Anoia, Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu), they will have access to a portfolio of project valuation services.
With these services, the research staff participating in one of the 3 programs we offer will obtain essential tools and resources both for the validation and the valorization of their ideas/proposals.
The 3 programs proposed aim to create, support and value innovative ideas in order to transfer this knowledge to the market. These programs will be carried out with the support of the innovation team of the Parc Taulí Research and Innovation Institute (I3PT), and using methodologies validated by reference bodies (CIMIT in Boston and Stanford).
These programs are set up from the "Nodo de dinamización e innovación unicentrico integrado Parc Taulí" project, funded by the ISCIII Platform for support to R+D+i in Biomedicine and Health Sciences (ITEMAS).
Programs
The GENES_IT program aims to provide an innovation consultancy service to the professionals of the participating centers of the "Node". Program participants will have the opportunity to develop a new innovative project with the help of an I3PT innovation team for free.
During the program, support will be given to capture and create innovative ideas, based on the identification of unmet needs in the centers, which can continue to grow and be further developed in the BRING_IT program.
The program, based on Stanford's BIODESIGN methodology (adapted to Catalonia by BIOCAT), helps to develop immature ideas (TLR 0-2) from the identification of the need to the invention and selection of possible solutions. It is organized in five phases:
- 1 phase: Detection of the need
- 2 phase: Need filtering
- 3 phase: Detection of the solution
- 4 phase: Solution filtering
- 5 phase: Presentation of results
BRING_IT is an accompanying program to help develop and mature innovative ideas, once the possible solution for an unmet need has been identified (TLR 2-4). The goal is to work with projects that are in an immature phase and help them to value the product so that it can be transferred to the market in the future. These projects will be able to continue their development with the GROW_IT program.
The program, based on methodology Boston CEMETERY (adapted to Catalonia by CIMTI), addresses the development and progress of health innovation projects from four key domains: clinical, market and business, regulatory and technology. In addition, the work methodology will be based on the achievement of specific milestones for each of the domains to advance development in a faster, orderly and efficient manner. It is organized in 3 phases:
- Phase 1: Need detection not covered
- Phase 2: Idea development
- Phase 3: Presentation (pitch)
The GROW_IT program has been designed to promote projects in more advanced phases (TLR 4-6), which have a well-developed idea, with the aim that they can continue to advance in the valorization of the product to reach the market.
In the same way as BRING_IT, the program is based on the Boston CIMIT methodology (adapted to Catalonia by CIMIT), through which projects are valued from four key domains: clinical, market and business, regulatory and technological . This methodology recommends advancing specific goals for each of the domains mentioned, achieving that the projects advance in a faster, orderly and effective way.
GROW_IT works on the continuation of phase 1 and 2 of the previous program, being these:
- Phase 1: Proof of concept
- Phase 2: Feasibility test
