Cognitive Pathology Unit

The Cognitive Pathology Unit is made up of 3 neurologists, 1 neuropsychologist, 1 nurse, 1 nursing assistant and 1 social worker.

It provides quality and comprehensive care and treatment, health education to families and caregivers to provide information and manage the problems arising from the diagnosis of cognitive impairment, dementia and conduct disorder.

The Unit works in collaboration with the area primary care teams, through an established shared action plan. The center also has a Psychogeriatrics Unit where the admission resource with specialized and multidisciplinary care is offered for those patients who present with behavioral disorders or acute decompensation of the disease.
