In our hospital, as in others in Europe, pediatric clinical pulmonology, allergy and immunology are grouped together in a single Unit, given the many commonalities they have.
Pneumology mainly treats the pathology of the lungs and respiratory tract from the trachea (bronchi, lungs): malformations, infections, specific diseases.
Allergies - mainly, but not only - manifested in the respiratory system are treated in this Unit (asthma, drug allergies, food, etc.)
Pediatric immunology studies the problems, mainly deficits, of the immune (defense) apparatus of our body.

The Pediatric Clinical Pneumology, Allergy and Immunology Unit belongs to Pediatric Medicine Servicea
